Scouting
For each set in the screenplay: the places scouted and the one chosen. It is the shooting-side mirror of Locations & Sets, as Cast is for the characters.
Candidate places
- Rail › Scouting, then choose a set (or a sub-location) on the left.
- Add a place for each spot visited or considered.
- Give it a status: to visit, visited, chosen or ruled out. Only one place is chosen per set: choosing another sends the previous one back to "Visited". The chosen place is shown in the list.
What you note about a place
- Identity and contact: name of the place, address, on-site contact, owner or manager, phone, email.
- Logistics: access and parking, power, dressing rooms, catering and toilets, network.
- Picture and sound: orientation, light by time of day, ambient noise.
- Permits and cost: permit, rate, availability, contract.
- Notes and photos of the place.
Other people's contact details
