Guide › Writing
Notes
Your working notes: intentions, research, a note to the producer, a letter to the director of photography.
Write a note
- Rail › Notes › "+" › Note.
- A title, then the text.
The formatting bar sets the note's font, size and alignment; text can be made bold (Ctrl+B), italic (Ctrl+I), underlined (Ctrl+U), headings and quotations. The project's names are suggested as you type, as in Write.
Labels
Labels sort notes by theme: "Intentions", "Scouting"… Everything happens in the list:
- "+" › Label: type its name, then Enter;
- drag a note onto a label to file it there (or onto "No label");
- double-click a label to rename it, drag it to change the order;
- an empty label is deleted with its cross.
The filter field, at the top of the list, finds a note by its title.
Attach a note to a sent version
Notes are attached version by version, when you send: Share › Prepare the next version › Attached notes. The reader can comment on them. See Sent versions and comments.
Export
Inspector › Exports:
- Word: .docx, Markdown: .md, Text: .txt;
- PDF through the browser's print;
- copy the text, without the title.
Exported together, notes are sorted into one folder per label.
Versions and comments
Like a scene, a note has its versions (inspector › Versions: a name, save, restore) and its comments.
