Your data
A film project is confidential. This page says what Gilgamesh keeps, how, and what you can do with it. The binding text is the privacy policy (in French).
What is kept
- Your account: username, email address, password (as a hash, never in plain form), profile, photo, sessions.
- Your projects: everything you write and upload in them.
- Your feedback (Feedback button): your message, the app's version, the screen, the latest errors; never the content of your projects. Deleted after one year.
What is never done
- The publisher only hosts your projects for you: they make no use of them.
- Your projects are never used to train any model.
- Nothing is loaded from a third party, no audience measurement and no advertising. The only cookies are those the service needs: your session, the recognised browser (to warn you of a sign-in from a new device) and, if you ask for it, the trusted device.
You remain the owner of what you write.
Where and how
- The service is hosted in France, on the publisher's server; only emails go through a processor, OVH (France). No data leaves the European Union.
- Backups are encrypted, made every night and kept for 14 days.
- Reading links (sent versions) are personal and revocable, and the PDF a reader prints carries their name as a watermark.
What you can do
| You want | Where |
|---|---|
| A copy of a project | Versions › "Export the project (.zip)" |
| All your data | Settings › Account › My data: an archive, ready shortly, downloadable for 48 hours |
| Correct some information | Settings › Account |
| Delete a project | Settings › Project › "Move to trash" (restorable for 30 days) |
| Delete your account | Settings › Account › Delete my account |
When the account is deleted, everything is erased; your comments on other authors' projects are anonymised; the encrypted backups erase themselves within 14 days.
An inactive account
With no sign-in for 18 months, an email warns you; with no sign-in at 24 months, the account is deleted, with reminders 30 and 7 days before.
The legal texts
These texts are in French, and they are the ones that are binding.
